Port Labs partners with Silicon Valley Advantage accelerator to grow support for startups
We’re excited to announce a new partnership with Northern CA business accelerator Silicon Valley Advantage. This partnership brings complementary resources together for the benefit of Northern California companies working to develop physical products. Our partnership enables both companies to work with more companies, and meet more of their needs. The SVA team has assembled a great team of advisors, and built a portfolio of growing companies that overlap well with Port Labs skills and capabilities.
Port Labs will provide business support services to Silicon Valley Advantage companies, and extend its community to enable SVA companies to build their networks and get access to resources they need. Our relationships with public funders and sponsors enable us to deliver support services at no cost to growing companies. We are unique in the region in its ability to provide flexible space to companies working with materials and equipment, and to provide support to help them get to market and grow.
“We interact with so many great startups that we need to turn away because of our limited capacity,” says Silicon Valley Advantage CEO Gloria Maceiko. “Our partnership with Port Labs immediately allows us to say ‘yes’ to more companies, and we’re looking forward to growing our capacity together.”
Silicon Valley Advantage is in its sixth year, and in that time has built a portfolio of over two dozen startup companies. These companies represent biotech, pharma, IoT, industrial coatings, sensors, food products, and much more. In addition to incubating US startups, SVA has been contracting with foreign government innovation programs to help companies from those countries form in or enter the US market. Port Labs and Silicon Valley Advantage are working together to establish new partnerships, find sponsorships for programmatic efforts, and help more companies that are not well served in the regional startup ecosystem.
